Who we are
Senti Films was founded with a clear purpose: to help move the industry forward by broadening whose stories are told - and who gets to tell them. We work with writers and creatives to develop bold, authored projects that bring underrepresented perspectives into the mainstream without losing their specificity or ambition. Our approach is collaborative, audience-focused, and commercially minded, supporting distinctive voices while shaping work that connects widely. Proudly based in Birmingham and working across the UK and internationally, we develop and produce high-end scripted film, television, theatre and digital content that reflects the world as it is - and helps shape where the industry goes next.
What we make
We make premium film, television, theatre and digital work led by writers - stories with ambition, emotional weight and a clear point of view. We’re interested in great drama first and foremost: work that feels authored, specific and alive, not “issue-led” for the sake of it, but honest stories that stay with people. We take time to develop ideas properly, working closely with writers from the earliest stages to shape projects with care, trust and intent, always with an eye on audience and craft. We believe writers are the engine of the work, and our role is to support, challenge and protect that voice while helping it reach the widest possible audience.
Why we exist
Senti Films exists because the UK screen industry still doesn’t reflect the breadth of talent or lived experience in this country. Too many stories from marginalised communities - particularly people of colour and working-class creatives - struggle to move beyond the margins, not because of a lack of ability, but because access, trust and opportunity remain uneven. We work to help close that gap, collaborating with creatives and industry partners to develop ambitious projects that are given the time, care and backing they deserve. Our aim is simple: to help build a more representative industry by supporting distinctive voices and ensuring their work can reach broad, mainstream audiences.

I started Senti to create the company I couldn’t find when I was coming up. An environment where talent is taken seriously regardless of background, where new voices feel supported rather than tested, and where ambition isn’t limited by who you know or where you’re from.
Senti isn’t just about the stories we’re making now - it’s about the people who come after us. I wanted to build a space where creatives don’t have to fight just to be in the room, and where inclusion isn’t a gesture, but a belief in better work.
This is bigger than me. If Senti can help shift the industry forward by backing bold, original voices and proving that diverse perspectives lead to stronger, braver storytelling, then we’re doing what we set out to do.
